When selecting the vacuum pump, pay attention to the following matters:
1. The working pressure of the vacuum pump shall meet the upper limit vacuum and working pressure requirements of the vacuum equipment. The vacuum value of the pump is generally higher than that of the experimental equipment.
2. The demand of vacuum equipment for oil pollution. If the equipment is required to be oil-free, water ring pump, ion pump and other oil-free pumps shall be selected.
3. Understand the composition of the extracted gas and whether the gas contains condensable steam, particulate dust, corrosivity, etc.
4. What impact does the oil vapor discharged from the vacuum pump have on the environment? If the environment cannot be polluted, oil free vacuum pump can be selected or oil vapor can be discharged outdoors.
5. Whether the vibration generated during the operation of the vacuum pump has an impact on the process and environment. If it is not allowed in the process, non vibrating pump shall be selected or anti vibration measures shall be prepared.
6. The vacuum pump can discharge all the gas produced by the vacuum equipment under the working pressure.
