Rotary evaporators are widely used in chemical, pharmaceutical, biological experiments and other industries. 1. Check whether there are problems with the vacuum pump and connection, and whether the seals of various parts of the equipment are damaged, resulting in low vacuum. Good vacuum can effectively inhibit the boiling of aqueous solution and improve the efficiency of evaporation and condensation.
2. Adding some alcohol to the solution can effectively improve the efficiency. Toluene can also be added to form an azeotropic system and then water is removed by a rotary evaporator.
3. Reduce the temperature of the cooling water in the condensing system. It is recommended that the temperature be below 0 ℃. The temperature can be well reduced by using the recirculating chiller.
4. The evaporation efficiency can be improved by reducing the amount of solution to be evaporated each time and performing it several times.
