How to use a rotary evaporator to extract ethanol?
1. Set the temperature of the water bath pot to 60℃
2. Set the speed to 80rpm
3. Vacuum degree set to 100mbar
4. The recirculating chiller is set to -10℃ and the pressure is set to 1 bar
Once the set temperature and vacuum are reached, the experiment can begin. Release the feed valve and allow the solution to be sucked into the evaporator bottle through the feed pipe, fill the sample, and then close the feed valve.
At this point, condensate will form in the condenser coil, and the solvent in the evaporating bottle will start to evaporate, continuing until the viscosity changes and the condensation rate begins to slow down.
