1. Rotary steaming bottle: the rotary evaporator is an instrument used for distilling solvents. It realizes the purpose of rapid distillation through the evaporation of the rotary bottle and the rapid condensation of the condenser. The flask rotates in a hot water bath, and the size of the flask determines how much liquid can be distilled at a time.
2. Control panel: control the rotation speed of the flask and keep it at about 120 rpm.
3. Bath: the temperature medium of the water bath can be filled to the level where the test solvent is immersed in the flask. The water bath can transfer heat to the test solvent quickly and effectively. Water is a stable, cheap, uniform heat distribution and high specific heat capacity medium.
4. Cross bottle: the steam pipe is the channel through which steam is transmitted from the rotary bottle to the condenser. This is also the place where your rotary evaporator may leak. Please make sure that your cross bottle is highly clean and centered.
5. Condenser: the main function is to help the gaseous solvent condense quickly. It has upper and lower circulation inlets and outlets, which can be combined with other equipment that can provide low-temperature circulating water to further accelerate the efficiency of cooling energy. After the solvent is converted from steam to liquid through the condenser, it enters the collection bottle according to the action of gravity.
