Burets, measuring bottles, measuring cups and other measuring glass instruments can also be washed with soap or detergent, but can not be brushed with a brush.

Cleaning method of glassware.

Usually, when we clean reagent bottles and triangular bottles, we need to use tap water to clean them, then put them into an ultrasonic instrument containing clean water, add detergent or soapy water, and ultrasonic clean them for about 5 minutes, and keep the water temperature between 25 ~ 45℃. Then fully shake it with purified water, clean it three times, and put it on the instrument rack for natural drying.

When cleaning glass instruments that are difficult to clean (such as burets, pipettes, volumetric flasks, colorimetric tubes, glass vertical funnels, etc.), first clean them with tap water and drain them, then soak them in chromic acid detergent for one night, and then clean them with tap water and purified water for three times. When cleaning the instrument, you should wash your hands with soap first to prevent oil stains on your hands from adhering to the instrument wall, which increases the difficulty of cleaning.

When the glass instrument is upside down and there is no water drop on the inner wall, it indicates that the cleaning is very clean.
