In terms of the specifications of rotary evaporators, the size of evaporation bottles we need depends on the number of evaporation samples we need every day. Generally, 2L, 3L and 5L rotary evaporators are more suitable for small-scale experiments, 5L, 10L and 20L rotary evaporators are suitable for pilot tests, and 20L, 50L and above are suitable for production. In addition to capacity, distillation efficiency is also our focus. The higher the efficiency, the larger the number of samples distilled every day.
The use risks of rotary evaporators are mainly the distillation solvent and heating medium. The temperature of the heating pot should be at least 25 ℃ higher than the boiling temperature of the solvent. If the solvent is flammable and explosive, we need to choose an explosion-proof rotary evaporator.
